Scholarship & Ambassador program

What it takes to
represent Polaris.

Become our Scholarship Awardee or Ambassador today. There are two routes, depending on where you are in your Polaris journey.

Route one

Polaris Scholarship Awardee

Benefit: J1 Summer Work and Travel Program sponsorship, which covers the program fee of US$1,670.

  • University student
  • GPA above 2.0
  • 18 to 25 years old
  • At least two social media platforms, one of which must be Instagram with over 10,000 followers
  • Must be creative and outspoken
  • Learn about Polaris and its services
  • Create a video telling the Polaris audience about the scholarship and promoting the J1 Summer Work and Travel program
  • Assist Polaris in promoting the J1 Summer Work and Travel program in universities and colleges
  • Promote Polaris
  • Visit the Polaris office for a photo with our staff
  • Provide a photo for our scholarship wall
  • Attend relevant events on Polaris's behalf
  • Assist Polaris in creating new ways to promote our services
  • Send pictures and videos of the experience while in the United States
  • Assist in selecting our next scholarship awardee

Route two

Polaris Seasonal Ambassador

Benefits:

  • J1 Summer Work and Travel: visa fee and SEVIS fee covered, and the ambassador pays only US$1,500 for the program fee
  • Camp: visa fee and SEVIS fee covered, and the ambassador pays only US$550 for the program fee
  • Intern and Trainee: visa fee covered, plus a US$200 discount on the program fee
  • Requirements
  • 18 to 30 years old
  • Must be qualified for at least one Polaris program and have applied
  • At least two social media platforms, one of which must be Instagram with over 10,000 followers
  • Must be creative and outspoken
  • Must be willing to promote Polaris at least twice a week on your platforms
  • Learn about Polaris and its services
  • Must be willing to share each step of the experience on a Polaris program
  • Must be willing to participate in events

How to apply

From interest
to introduction.

  1. Register your interest

    Tell Polaris you'd like to be considered as a Scholarship Awardee or Seasonal Ambassador.

  2. Share your story

    Send a short video or write-up introducing yourself and why you'd represent Polaris well.

  3. Meet the team

    Qualifying applicants are invited to the Polaris office to meet the team and confirm next steps.

  4. Get confirmed

    Selected awardees and ambassadors are confirmed and added to the Polaris community.

Intakes are reviewed year-round. Contact the office for the current cycle.
