Our story
How we started.
Polaris has been operating since 2016. We are registered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Employment Unit of Jamaica to operate programs that provide Jamaicans with opportunities to travel to the United States for work and cultural exchange.
Polaris was founded from a deep appreciation for cultural exchange programs. The owner Steven Bramwell participated in the J-1 Summer Work and Travel Program through different agencies during his college years. These experiences inspired him to create an agency of his own.
Today, Polaris is committed to creating meaningful cultural exchange opportunities for students and young adults. Our goal is to operate differently by:
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Supporting participants throughout their journey.
- Creating valuable work and cultural exchange opportunities.
- Giving back to participants and the wider community.
- Helping students and young adults gain international experience and develop personally and professionally.
At Polaris, we believe that cultural exchange is more than travel. It is an opportunity to learn, grow, build relationships, and experience life in a new environment.
