Program overview

The Camp Counselor program allows students, youth workers, teachers, nurse and other eligible candidates experienced in working with children professionally, the opportunity to work in the US as a camp counselor for up to 3 months during the US summer camp season. Camp counselors work alongside US staff members, provide additional skill sets to teach campers, and offer the benefits of a cultural exchange experience.

What you'll need.

To participate you must be: 


  • Between 18 and 26 years of age
  • Childcare experience: Must have graduated High School at a school or Day Care OR have a Certificate in Early Childhood, Nursing, social Work or Teaching AND OR
  • 2. Be a University Student.
  • Must also be able to provide a Job letter/Letter of recommendation on a letter head as it relates to what you are qualified in.
  • Have a conversational level of English
  • Independent and mature traveler
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn
  • Committed to fulfilling job duties for the duration of the program
  • You don't have to be in university or college to be a camp counselor.
